LEONARDO DA VINCI STRUCTURES

Imagen
Structure is a set of different items with the objective to suport loads The structures keep the shape unde the force of gravity, the wind or any other force. A example of structure is a human skeleton, bycycles... Types of forces These loads can stretch, shorten, or bend. Then we say that these items works traction (tight), compresion (pilar) or flexion (beam). A way to khown this in a structure is making an imáginary cut . There two more forces: shear and torsion.             -    Shear is force that try to cut the objets.               -  Torsion is a force that try to turn the element. Types of structures:           - Frame structures. It is the most commoon of structure. It have a lot of elements joind to each other. It is empty. Example is a bycicle or a house              - Shell structures. This structure have a thin out...

Chemistry workshop: We create our lemonades, bread, perfumes and creams.

Imagen
A lemonade is a mixture of solid elements (sugar), liquids (lemon and water) and gases (bicarbonate); we produce chemical reactions, changes of state (ice to water), solutions (sparkling lemonade), infusions, distillations… to produce soft drinks, soaps, perfumes, creams, insect repellants, in short chemical compounds…. Goals to achieve: - To know chemistry process like dissolutions, reactions, mixtures, separations of substances Contents to be developed: - Dissolutions, chemistry reactions, mixtures, mix solids… Methodology:   Is a lemonade a dissolution?  It's a mix?  It's hot and what better way to fight it with a lemonade. For this we are going to "dissolve" lemon juice in water, or orange ... If we also put some ice cubes, it will go from solid to liquid, producing a "change of state" and cooling said solution. We can also "dissolve" a little solid sugar and it will be sweeter and richer .. Making perfumes.  Perfume is also...

TALLER DE MOSAICOS

Imagen

TALLER QUÍMICA TÉCNICA I (disoluciones y mezclas): GEL HIDROALCOHÓLICO, PERFUMES, JABONES,CREMAS...

Imagen

VIDEOGAME WORKSHOP

Imagen
In this topic we are going to make a videogame with scratch. In this workshop you only have to learn four questions:   1.- Design and move objects.  First you have to select the object and you can edit the object or import it from the different objects you have in the same program. to make the program you only have to translate with the icons: when I press the right key, x changes 10 steps. When I pick the left key it changes -10 steps.  2.- Design and move scenarios.  Paint some stages and program. when you press the green flag, repeat always and change the stage. wait a second.   3.- Interact several objects.  If you want an object to disappear. The best is to use the following instruction: “when the green color touches the red colour, it will disappear for a second”. Or you use: “ if you touch objetc1, disappear.   You can make that object move randomly from -200 to 200 at each coordinate.   4.- Make it pretty.

3D printing workshop: building a ring key.

Imagen
With this workshop we will learn to make our applications. Goals to achive:      To know to desig a piece.      To learn to use a 3D printer. Contents to developed:      Views, 3D printing, scales… Methodology:      In this workshop, we are going to learn to design pieces with the program Tikercad. It is on line and free and easy to use..     First,  You must log in. Then, We must click on “create design”. We can choose a cube and we give it the dimensions we want 20 by 15 by 4 millimeters and we round the corners. We select a text and we give it the dimensions: 15 by 10 by 4 with the text ESEX21. We select each object as solido r hollow and overlap them. The letters would be hollow as in the figure. Now we select a cylinder with the dimensions of 2 by 2 by 3 and we select it hollow ang group. We will have the design. We export the file and take it ot the 3D printer for manufacturing. This would be the keychain ...

ARCHITECTURE, ART, HISTORY and GEOMETRY WORKSHOP.

Imagen
Introduction.      In this workshop we are going to build different domes with the same wooden profile following geometric patterns.      First we will practice with small profiles and at the end with large profiles like the one in the attached photograph. Goals: - To Know the principles of architecture. - To Study how to distribute the weights in a dome - To Make different architectural configurations. Methodology:      Initial activity:      We start by making a circle with all the participants standing, we turn while making the circle smaller and smaller and everyone approaches. We put our hands on the shoulders of what is in front of us.      Now, little by little, we can flex until we are completely seated on the knees of the partner behind us, while the partner in front is seated on our knees.      If we do it carefully and in a coordinated way we will not fall and we ...

COOPERATION WORKSHOP

Imagen
Against individualism there is only cooperation. Perhaps the most efficient biological systems have been those that have been cooperative (ants, bees...), being synonymous with survival and adaptation to the environment (intelligence). Knowing and learning that we must be able to cooperate with each other is an important factor in achievin...
