Mechanic and Robotics workshop.
In this workshop the kids will learn to assemble and follow the mechanical plans to build different machines, from a fair, a wind turbine or industrial robots.
Later they will learn to use a robot to collect ping-pong balls in the competition that will take to practice like a example of them.
Goals to achive.
- To know how to interpret a plan.
- To assemble a machine and its mechanisms.
- To control a robot.
Contents to be developed.
- Mechanisms, robots, programming…
Methodology.
In the first part of the workshop the boys will assemble a machine and in the second they will learn to control a robot.
This robot, call Mbot, We can control a robot manually or through a code or program.
Depending on the level of the participants on campus, we can program manually or not.
We just have to use the MAKEBLOCK program.
We just have to use the MAKEBLOCK program.
This software is free and will be loaded on the students' mobile phones or on some carried for this purpose.
At the end of the morning, we will make a competition to pick balls.
The group that make more points will win.
To learn this It is necessary activated the following screen that will appear when We click on creating.
1. Move the robot at a speed of 100 for 2 seconds forward
2. Now make it turn right at a speed of 150 for 1 second
3. It moves backward at a speed of 255 for 1 second
4. Turn left for 4 seconds at a speed of 100
5. Turn right for 4 seconds at a speed of 255
Task 2 on the block "2: Speed": The communicative robot.
1. Make the robot turn on the lights in green for 1 second, turn them off for
another second and then leave them always on
2. Then move forward for 2 seconds at a speed of 100
3. Once stopped turn on the lights in red permanently
4. It emits two musical notes (C5 and F5)
5. Turn for 4 seconds to the right
6. Turn off the lights
1. Turn on the left orange light and turn off the right light
2. Turn left for 3 seconds at a speed of 255
3. Turn off the left light and turn on the right light green
4. Turn right for 1 second at a speed of 255
5. Once repeated this sequence 3 times the lights are turned off and a musical note is emitted
Task 4 on the block "4: Stop": The ambulance robot.
1. Make the robot move permanently forward at a speed of 255
2. Now repeat the following instructions three times
1. Turn on the lights in blue
2. Broadcast a musical note (A5 half)
3. Turn on the lights in red
4. Emit a musical note (F5 half)
3. At the end of this sequence the robot stops and the lights go out
Task 5 on the block of "5: Wait": Robot avoids obstacles
1. The robot always walks forward permanently
2. When an obstacle is detected, it stops
3. Turn on the red lights for one second
4. Turn right for 1 second at a speed of 100
1. Initially you will be stopped and each time you put your hand in front of the obstacle sensor
the green lights will turn on while at the same time it will emit a musical note, then moves indefinitely forward at a speed of 100 if my hand is still in front of the sensor
2. In case you move your hand away from the obstacle sensor it will stop and the lights will light red for 2 seconds, then turn off
3. The above process will be repeated indefinitely
Task 8 on the block of "8: Comparing": A robot chases me at a distance
1. When the robot is switched on, it is stopped and the lights are off
2. If a hand is placed in front of the obstacle sensor less than 30 centimeters the robot
turn on the lights in blue while moving constantly forward
3. If the distance is greater than 30 centimeters the robot stops and turns off the lights
