LEONARDO DA VINCI WORKSHOP


(El calculo de estructuras y la búsqueda del equilibrio siempre han fascinado a artistas, arquitectos o ingenieros. Leonardo da Vinci fue y será un iluminado en el mundo de la invención sencilla y con medios muy innovadores. Aprendamos de ello).


          In this workshop we will make a bridge known as Leonardo's self-supporting bridge. This bridge has the peculiarity that it does not need any type of union and allows us to know the principles of stability of the structures.

With different profiles we can make a bridge that does not need any type of connection such as screws, glue ...
It's simple, but it requires teamwork. We can use it to do a small competition.
It can be done in a small size and even with real dimensions.

Goals to achive:

- To make a bride.
- To learn how to make a self-supporting bride.
- To know effort in a brige.

Contents to be developed:

- Bridges, efforts, profiles, joins, proprieties of wood…

Structure is a set of different items with the objective to suport loads The structures keep the shape unde the force of gravity, the wind or any other force. A example of structure is a human skeleton, bycycles... Types of forces These loads can stretch, shorten, or bend. Then we say that these items works traction (tight), compresion (pilar) or flexion (beam). A way to khown this in a structure is making an imáginary cut .
